Sophie was an integral part of the team who brought significant success to the project. Her role spanned the planning, development and production phases. She managed the collection from its formation through to the installation of the exhibition. She is hardworking, diligent, thorough in her approach and a great team player. I can recommend her for roles of this nature and will certainly work with her again. Tim Harvey Round Room Studios

Sophie Milner worked at Round Room Studios on the Formula One Exhibition project from March 2022 - April 2023 and became part of my team when I joined the project in the summer of 2022. It’s certainly true to say that we wouldn’t have successfully launched in Madrid in 2023 without a strong objects team, and Sophie was the first person into that team and part of it for the longest time. She was key to the whole process. As objects began to arrive into the collection from purchases and via loan agreements she established the bones of a database that grew to encompass all the key data points for each object. She added objects to that database, keeping the information up to date whilst always championing the need for thoroughness and accuracy. She also supported on digital assets, sourcing photography and assisting in agreement management with the owners of that copyrighted data. Our collections policies and procedures started with her guidance and she helped influence their development as they passed through our legal and operational frameworks. In addition to her day-to-day tasks around objects, she was also part of the development stage for curation of exhibition content and potential storylines – often accumulating tasks after those creative sessions related to sourcing the right asset or object to support them. When installation time neared, Sophie spent a long-time (in challenging physical conditions due to a particularly cold winter) accessioning the arriving objects and completing condition reports as well as physically packing the objects safely for transport. She also worked with the wider team to prepare objects for display, supporting the mounting planning function which was a big lift given the lateness we obtained some of the key pieces. This involved collaboration with designers and fabricators to create safe mounting solutions and appropriate placements within the show. She also helped the team plan and deliver multiple relocations of objects to new storage facilities as we consolidated the collection. I found Sophie trustworthy, hard-working and professional and enjoyed our time working together. John Grigg, Round Room Studios
